使命 Mission
本系的使命,是藉由教學、研究與服務,推動以體育運動為基礎的知識體系之傳播、擴展與應用,並強調培育多元專業與領導人才。
The mission of department of of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (PESS) is to advance the dissemination, expansion, and application of a knowledge system grounded in physical education and sports (sport and exercise) through teaching, research, and service, with a strong emphasis on cultivating diverse professional and leadership talents.
教育目標 Objectives
- 養體育運動相關知識與實作之應用人才。
To develop professionals with knowledge and practical skills in physical education and sports.
- 培養體育運動相關科學與科技之學術研究人才。
To develop professionals specializing in scientific research and technological advancements related to physical education and sports.
- 培養體育運動相關領導與國際視野之人才。
To develop professionals with leadership capabilities and a global perspective in physical education and sports.
- 培養多元體育運動領域之專業人才。
To develop expertise across diverse disciplines within physical education and sports.

職涯發展 Career Development
- 體育教師:各級學校體育教師。
Physical Education Teacher: Teaching physical education at elementary school, secondary school, and university.
- 運動教練與指導員:學校代表隊教練、職業運動或專項運動教練/指導員。
Sports Coaches and Instructors: Coaches for school teams, professional sports, or specialized sports instructors.
- 體適能專業:健身教練、肌力與體能教練、特殊族群體適能指導員。
Fitness Professionals: Fitness trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, and fitness instructors for the populations with special needs.
- 運動科學專業:運動科學研究人才、肌力與體能專業人才、運動傷害防護員、運動心理諮詢老師。
Sport and Exercise Sciences Professionals: Sports sciences researchers, strength and conditioning specialists, sports injury prevention personnel, and sports psychology consultants.
- 運動管理與產業:場館設施管理、運動用品行銷、器材租賃、運動經紀、球隊管理/經理、運動旅遊顧問。
Sports Management and Industry: Facility management, sports product marketing, equipment rental, sports agency, team management or managers, and sports tourism consultants.
- 體育行政:各級公務人員、專任 (案) 助理與行政助理。
Sports Administration: Civil servants at various levels, governmental project managers, and administrative assistants.
